Beginner Level Resources
Salaam Arabic provides beginner and intermediate lessons for Arabic learners. It consists of written lessons on grammar, the alphabet, genders and cases combined with vocabulary on introductory concepts.
Salaam Arabic also includes lessons on topics related to traveling in the region. These lessons include greetings and social etiquette, and also guide users with helpful words and phrases.
Each lesson combines vocabulary lists with fun word games. Get started and practice your social etiquette vocabulary by playing Whack-A-Mole?
LookLex teaches you basic sentences, how to write, how to count, and introduces Arabic grammar. Lessons include basic greetings, how to count, and how to write.
There are also situational lessons– that is, lessons such as navigating hotels, ordering food in a restaurant or a coffee shop, fixing cars, and whatever situation you may find yourself in.
Readlang instantly translates words & phrases on any web page. You can then use these words to create flashcards to practice. Currently, Arabic is in beta on the Reading website, but it still works (very well!).
There is a free and a paid version of this application. The only difference is that with the free version you only get 10 phrase translations per day (as opposed to an unlimited amount with the paid version)
